We are looking for that “viral video” that is going to capture the spirit of Hanukkah or the essence of being Jewish.

We are looking for a short video to capture this sentiment and holiday spirit in a fun, good spirited sort of way. It can be Hanukkah specific or just something that strikes a chord with the Jewish community. We want something funny, silly, poignant, or surprising … something that makes you want to forward it to all of your friends. Maybe it is a funny joke, or a song, or a gag, or an acted out skit. Surprise us.
Take as much or as little time as you need with the video, but recognize that in the world of viral videos, often “less is more.”
Here is an idea we know that we like. You can use one of these or please, create your own.
“Chasidic Santa?” You see an old Chasidic Jew with his wife and lots of children. The old man has a black hat, a long white beard, and a black suit. After some sort of “setup,” the group is suddenly transformed. Instead of a black hat and black suit, the Chasid is now wearing a red and white hat and suit (presto … he is Santa Claus). And all of his wife and kids are now dressed as elves i.e. Santa’s little helpers. There are many jokes that can be played off this conversion … show us your take on this scene! Is Santa really a Chasidic Jew and his family?
